Would you do anything for love? William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet tells the story of Romeo and Juliet's love. In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, love is to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death. In line 94 Romeo argues that, “My lips, two blushing pilgrims, stand ready to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss” (1.5.93-94). This shows that Romeo is ready to kiss Juliet in the first moment they meet. Kissing this early in the relationship shows that he is serious about his feelings and proves that love will influence his dramatic actions later on. When he believes Juliet is dead, he cannot live without her love; so, he chooses to die. Love is a clear influence on his actions. Shakespeare states, “But soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.
