A seemingly endless battle between two families, a forbidden love, heartache, and deaths of lovers Romeo and Juliet. The play is about two families that are against each other and how the feud between the families is affecting Romeo and Juliet’s relationship. Romeo is apart of the Montague family and Juliet is apart of the Capulet family. Romeo and Juliet fell in love with eachother and want to take their love to the next level. They secretly gets married by the Friar. Some tragic events happen and it leads up to the deaths of Romeo and juliet. Friar Laurence and the family feaud are ultimatley responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death, even though they committed suicide. Someo people may think Tybalt and Lord Capulet are ultimately at the blame for Romeo and Juliet’s deaths. Tybalt died in act 3 scence1 and Romeo and Juliet died in act 5 scene 3. Although the Lord Capulet wanted Juliet to marry paris. “She hath not seen the change of fourteen years:let two more summers wither in their pride ere we may think her ripe to be a bride”lord capulet says,(pg.769). Friar Laurence makes three mistakes leading up to deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Friar gave poison to Juliet that could been harmful to her. He trusted someone else with a letter of importance to deliver to Romeo. He left Juliet’s tomb, instead of helping her. If Friar Laurence had not made these mistakes and thought out his plan better, Romeo and Juliet would not have committed suicide. Friar Laurence shows his irresponsibilty by saying “if thou hast the strength of will to slay thyself,take this vial,no warmth,no breath shall testify the livest”,(pg.879).
