In the contemporary economy and competitive job market, most people young and older have decided to go back to school to further their studies. However, choosing a better college has become a challenge to many people because a lot of colleges have emerged since the late nineties both private owned and community colleges. Before choosing what college to attend, there are so many factors to consider. Among these is cost of tuition and a class schedule. After doing my research I have concluded that attending community colleges is better than private colleges because: the cost of tuition and books are inexpensive, flexibility of their class schedules in community colleges allow students to attend school at their own convenience and the number of students enrolled per class is relatively manageable.

The community colleges enroll small number of students per class whereas in private colleges the classes are crowded with students. According to New York times, most classes in community colleges contain 15 to 25 students which allows the instructors to provide personalized instructions (smith, 34). Also, the tutors have a chance of attending to each student especially those who are struggling in class hence higher academic achievements. A small capacity of students can interact freely with each other as well as the instructors. Likewise, the students feel free to engage and ask questions in class in a small setting rather than a huge class that can be intimidating. It is also easy for the instructors to provide a positive feedback on every student after every test or exam in a small class size compared to large class size that could be
