I agree that how John brown cast his whole vote In Harper's ferry. John Brown was certainly considered insane, a murderer, conspirer etc. But today he was a face of a revolution, a martyr for a bigger cause, or even a nice kidnapper. In my opinion, he cast his whole vote a little differently than he should of, but he did not personally kill anyone. I would not consider this civil disobedience because they were shooting at people and holding them at gunpoint. John Brown definitely cast his whole vote, although his methods are questionable, he did it for a good cause as well. John Brown relates to John Adams. John brown stood up against the whole south and slavery, John Adams stood up for his rights and being represented in parliament against the whole british army. Although John Adams did not fight a war, he helped end the british empowerment of the colonies, thus freeing them from the British tyrannical hold. Another way is they are not similar is that John Adams used civil disobedience while John Brown did not. Another reason why the Civil war is alike to the Revolutionary war is that the British were a much larger army with more supplies, but America believed in the cause so much that they won the war.
