Madison Gross DBQ Outline WWII 5/14/18 Why did the world plunge into World War II in 1939? What is the most effective response to aggression-appeasement or collective security? It started because Hitler was trying to unite Germany and gain land for the people. Hitler, as Germany’s leader wanted more territory so they took it.
World War II was a war that started because of a Fammious not so good leader named Adolf Hitler who made it really clear that he was antisemitic and wanted Jews to be a thing of the past. He started mass genocide against Jews in 1933 when he came into power. Then, on September 1, 1939, Hitler invaded Poland, which started World War II single handly until September 2, 1945, when he killed himself in a bunker. And this made World War II justified because of the mass genocide of Jews and civilians, and the sure amount of power Hitler had over Europe. But its also not Justified because World War II was justified to stop Hitler from killing more Jews and civilians.
Aggression and Atrocities Leading to WWII World War 2 began because of the totalitarian governments. During World War 1 they became they became allies. A totalitarian regime is a centralized government that controls the lives of citizens. Roosevelt wanted to stay neutral and wanted peace with Germany and Japan they both refused and decided to plan many acts of aggression. Roosevelt writing a letter to Hitler seeking peace, Einstein enlightening Roosevelt about nuclear weapons to help aid during the war, Roosevelt’s fireside chat and many more were a result of America entering the war.
World War II was a global war that covering every continent and most countries in the world. Starting in 1939 and continues until the end in 1945, although there were a conflicts began earlier. The real cause of this war is still debating. Whether it is the unfair ofTreaty of Versailles, world economic problem, the failure of League of Nations, the usurpation of power by some group of people, etc.
This happened because once a nation gets into an alliance with other countries it has to help out in case a war breaks out. So there wasn't a way for anybody to get out of the war after Germany started attacking France and Russia started attacking Germany. A map that shows the placement of the alliances and how cramped Europe was; the Triple Alliance was cramped into the center with the triple entente on the outside surrounding them (Document 2). The map helps show what advantages the alliances had, especially the Triple Entente. Since France and Russia could cover the east and west of Germany it proved that Germany would have a tough time in the war due to the
But there was no effort of retaliation against the rearmament, so Hitler kept pushing the limits of the League of Nations until he invaded Poland, which proved to be Britain’s final straw. Document 6, the excerpt from Mein Kampf, written
Germany, with its allies -Italy and Japan, rapidly started a threatening expansionistic campaign. The war was inevitable in order to avoid Hitler regime expansion over all Europe and, potentially, over the all world. The balance of power was initially (until 1942) in favor of the Axis, but the massive mobilization of the Allies succeed in turning the tide in the war. The surprising resistance of the Soviets and their ability in denying the German conquest of Russia (most important Hitler objective), was the main factor that allowed the
Yesterday, September 1, 1938 marks the start of the World War 2! We are unsure of exactly what caused it, but we have some theories. In 1905, when Japan astonishingly beat Russia in the Russo-Japanese War, Japanese expansion in Asia and the Pacific became possible. When the worldwide Great Depression started in 1930, not only was it a time of instability, but for some nations, such as Germany, Italy, and Japan, it was a time for developing a desire to expand. Competing for different places may have caused the conflict that has led to the war.
One of the big reasons World war 2 happened was because the prime minister of Britain declared war against Germany. Even though the United states was not going to go to World War 2 they did after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Another one of the main reasons that World War 2 happened was that Adolf Hitler put the Jewish people into concentration camps. During this valiant battle the United States Military had a lot of young healthy men join to fight in World War 2 because they wanted to make sure that the germans and japanese did conquer the world by fight them off. They also joined because they wanted to prevent them from crossing the oceans and invading the United States.
After this war ended on November 11, 1918, leaders from the countries made a treaty called the Treaty of Versailles. After this treaty was made, many things happened and the question in many people 's minds was how did this treaty cause WWII? The Treaty of Versailles helped cause WWII by treating Germany harshly in these three ways: Their army was reduced, they lost territory, and the number one reason is all of the blame Germany got. One way that the Treaty of Versailles treated Germany harshly was the way that it reduced their army. After the date of March 31, 1920, Germany wasn’t allowed to have over one hundred thousand soldiers in its army, (Doc B) Germany would more than likely be furious because what if they were attacked?
The thought of another war struck fear in everyone, but their fear led to bad decisions being made. The Munich Agreement was not needed and most likely is one of the final straws before the war, “it was unnecessary…because the Czech defenses were strong were very strong…and because German generals were aware that Germany was weak at the moment. They were actually prepared to attempt to remove Hitler” (Document 7). This quote proves that the lengths they took to prevent another war ended up being for the worse. Their desperation made them make a poor decision that ended up starting a war instead of keeping the peace.
The Second World War was a global war starting in 1939 with the German invasion of Poland. Lasting roughly six years, with 60 million deaths, and 6 million jews killed, it was the bloodiest battle ever known. Most argue that Germany solely caused the war, but truthfully it had many different causes with Germany's invasion of Poland being the catalyst. The four main causes of World War II are the Treaty of Versailles, the economy, Fascism, and American/European responses. We will go into detail of how each of these contributed to the beginning of Second World War.
It is September 1st, 1939, and World War II has just begun. This was a very frightening moment for a lot of people with all of the vibration of guns raining, airplanes flying over the dark sky, and the cry of many families. The cause of World War II was the German invasion of Poland on September 1st, 1939. World War II was fought between two groups of countries. One of the sides was the Axis Powers, which included Germany, Italy, and Japan.
Robert Steveson once wrote, “In each two natures are at war - good and evil”, highlighting the struggle between good and evil within people. In the short novel In The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Mr. Utterson, a lawyer, tries to unravel a mystery of occurrences and connections between a murderous criminal and a renowned doctor. As the story progresses, the complicated relationship between the doctor and the criminal is revealed and exposes the duality of the doctor. In The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Stevenson emphasizes the duality of man through contrasting emotions of virtue and evil causing internal conflict. In Chapter 3, one can balance good and evil, but oftentimes, one tends to lean toward one side rather than another.
Another cause of the World War II was that after World War I, the European nations wanted to maintain peace , but Hitler did not. Hitler became aggressive and started to take land from neighboring
