Ticketmaster “makes money by charging customers a service charge, which can be as high as 75% or more of the base price of the ticket” (Hayes). This type of monopolistic control over the ticket market leaves consumers with little alternatives and having to put up with technical issues within the systems. Seeing this raises concern about Ticketmaster’s dominance over the market and its ability to inflate ticket prices is sparking frustration among concertgoers. Making consumers question Ticketmaster dominance in the market. Will they tolerate these conditions or demand change by wanting to shed light on this monopoly-like company?
Traditional economics cannot model this because many of these decisions are not financially optimal, so behavioral economics must be used. A downside of only operating the Boeing 737 aircraft is that smaller airports cannot be reached. Additionally, Southwest faces a tough market in which Delta has long standing contracts with major cities. In fact, Southwest was given landing rights at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, the world’s busiest airport, in only 2010 (Economist). Because Southwest can only reach metropolitan airports, many consumers who live outside of the city will choose to fly Delta in order to fly into a regional airport; those that live in the city may fly Delta simply because they offer more flights to their destination.

Some actions, like journeys, have value regardless of the outcomes they produce. Williams brings this point about to show how the utilitarian’s focus on consequences might not be the best way to assign value to actions, since it has no way of accounting for the intrinsic values actions may have. Here I have to agree with Williams. The manner in which consequentialist judge actions does not seem to allow any room for considering a person’s intent behind choosing to commit that act. Williams seems to be more open to such considerations than Smart ever was in his

Should the Postal Rule be Abolished? Contract law is a form of the law which focuses on agreements made between two or more parties.
