Why Do Some Organizations Have An English Speaking Only Policy

Some organizations have an English speaking only policy, because they believe multilingualism can interfere with accomplishing business goals. Do you agree with this policy? Why?
While being multilingual is a great skill to have, I agree that organizations should have an English speaking only policy. Choosing one language for the organization to follow will distract them from the task of learning English if that individual is already multilingual. Even though diversity is key, for those who are not English speaking, incorporating it more, will help members to think in English. The only way to become fluent is to be immersed in the english language and one way to do that is by conducting meetings in English and using multiple platform where the text is in English. It is also a good way to manage a diverse crowd, by holding this one thing (language) in common with all members of the group.

The three components of CQ are the cognitive, the physical, and the emotional. The cognitive is observing and learning how people behave. The physical is adopting people's behavior and attitude. The emotional is overcoming setbacks and obstacles. In my opinion, the cognitive component is the most critical for leadership because in order for a leader to truly be able to relate to his followers, he must be intelligent and have a good handle of his emotions.
