Why Do We Accept Homeless People?

As Linda Lingle once said, “We have come dangerously close to accepting the homeless situation as a problem that we just can 't solve.” In society today we accept homeless people as people who do drugs and look ugly, but they are people just like us who made a wrong turn in life and ended up in a homeless shelter or on the street. Why did I pick this topic for my mask project? I picked this topic hidden in society because more people need to know about this topic. Many people just say like “ who cares about them? If we give them money they will just buy drugs and bad things”. I’m sure that there are some homeless people who love the Lord and want to start over. They need to find a place where they can get money so they can “get back up again” as said by Tobymac. …show more content…

One personal connection I have with homelessness is about a guy I saw in front of Wal-Mart. I saw someone giving him some food from the store. I prayed for Him and one day he was not there! I struggled with picking a topic. I debated in my brain whether I should do non-Christian verses Christian , good versus evil or Hollywood versus normal people. On day one other people had already picked their ideas .And when day one ended I felt hopeless to find a new topic. A lightbulb went on in my head and I chose homelessness because it is a topic that most people forget about. But it is an important topic because the homeless are just normal people like us that need to get out of the ditch. They need to be encouraged to go on the path
