Have you ever thought about the many ways that a lot of students each day get in trouble and are out of dress code? There are so many ways that kids get in trouble in school due to what they wear. So, what are some ways that you can prevent kids from getting in trouble at school from their outfits? School uniforms can be a way for preventing the large number of students that get in trouble. I think that schools should make everyone wear school uniforms because they are such a big help to schools and students with the dress code and gangs that wearing uniforms creates a better environment for kids to learn in.

One of their arguments to support their thoughts would be that school uniforms don’t school uniforms do not improve attendance, academic preparedness, or exam results. A Study from David L. Brunsma PhD, Professor of Sociology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University researched on if it would improve either attendance, academic preparedness, or exam results and there are no effects of school uniforms on performance on second grade reading and mathematics examinations, as well as on a 10th grade reading, mathematics, science, and history examinations. Wearing uniforms won't help with academic preparedness and peer attitudes toward school either. Brunsma also discovered a negative effect on wearing uniforms to increase their academic achievements (why school uniforms). So, in conclusion these are two good reasons why some people are against school uniforms.

My first rebuttal to the first argument that people against school uniforms (which the argument would be “it takes away freedom of expression “) is again, kids can still accessorize with certain things when they must wear uniforms. The Administrators at schools aren’t requiring uniforms to take away kid’s freedom of expression they are there because kids feel more comfortable knowing that they are all wearing the exact same thing so that there will be less bullying or that the more school spirit that the kids bring to school each day that they come to school.
