Carmel Clay School Board To Enforce School Uniforms

I’m trying to convince the Carmel Clay school board to enforce school uniforms. I believe in this claim, and there are a lot of reasons on why I do. The first reason I believe this is because uniforms are an easy way to stay focused on schoolwork, rather than what you’re wearing. The second reason is that this can decrease the amount of bullying that goes on in schools since students will all be wearing the same uniforms. The third and final reason I support this claim is because of time management, and easier organization with your uniform. One main idea of providing students with more focus in school is a big effect of school uniforms. This reason has evidence to support it as well. For example, Susan du Plessis, an educational practitioner states, “You better realize what’s the most important to you, ...and it’s not the clothes you are wearing” (Plessis 1). For example, before you go to school while getting dressed, it may take you a while. On the other hand, wearing a uniform already provides you with what you’re going to wear for each day. For better understanding, Joshua Becker, a founder, and editor of Becoming Minimalist states “By consuming less throughout the week, I had less to clean”(Becker 1). This describes how having only one outfit to wear can save you a lot of time.
