Chloe´s death be so sweet to the narrator because Chloe finally died. As the narrator states,¨For two years, Chloe´s been crying in my arms during hug time, and now she´s dead, dead in the ground, dead in an urn, mausoleum, columbarium¨(35). This is sweet because he finds it great that she can now rest.
What does he want to do as a result of her death (based on what we know from previous chapters, especially his moments with Bob)? What he wants to do as a result of her death is be able to cry. He wants that satisfaction of crying because it will help him sleep. He knows that death of a person is gonna help him get that sleep that he wants.

However, consumerism has take over because people feel compelled to buy materials; In order to show off and self-identify themselves. Additionally, this regards to people buying clothing brands like; adidas, nike and puma. People become more as a billboard for these companies. Consumerism has taken over and people want to self identify themselves by wearing brands. In which, people get addicted to buying clothes or furniture to show off. This is why the narrator feels compelled to buy more things from ikea. He is so addicted to it than when he was with porn
