Abigail Acromagly, A Former Miss America Abigail Acromagly won Miss America in 1998. She was the prettiest tallest talent participant ever to participate in Miss America. She was well known all over the world. She was had a new face, she represented every dream of every teenage girl. She was a model for every woman.
Jawanna was a bully for example she bullied a young girl named Maria. Jawanna was the biggest and meanest girl in the grade Maria was just a sweet normal and innocent girl. Meanwhile Jawanna took stuff from Maria broke her pencil ate her brownie and made her do her homework anytime she wanted. She always bullied Maria, then one day outside Jawanna walks up to Maria and try’s to scare her into doing her homework, but Maria stands up for herself by telling her no. Jawanna wasn’t used to people standing up to her so she pushes Maria into the wood chips
Hawaii was in American interest since the early 1820’s. but at that time the Americans only cared about manifest destiny instead of colonizing in other continents especially with other baby countries directly on the border of America. In January 1893, the farmers of Hawaii revolted against the Hawaiian Queen Liliuokalani, at the same time, the citizens of Hawaii wanted the Americans to protect them, President William McKinley hadn’t given approval for the military to enter Hawaii, the marines stormed into Hawaii then raised the American flag. The queen was forced to renounce her throne, then it was up to the American government to decide where to go with the recent turn of events.
Ishi the Last Yahi, 1992, directed and produced by Jed Riffe and Pamela Roberts, is a documentary on the life of a native American named Ishi, the timeline from when he was he was captured by white settlers to the time of his death. The film used many pictures, voice recordings and still clips to engage the audience. Ishi’s friends and family were killed by white settlers, disease, and starvation. Before Ishi could die of starvation, he left his home and went to California where he captured and placed into a mental institute. An Anthropologist by the name of Alfred Kroeber from the university of California, went west in search of Native Americans.
The Past and Present Development of Mililani The island of Hawai’i is always changing, and the aloha island keeps on moving forward with no way of stopping its future growth. From it being a sad, or happy change to evan a bad, and good change. Hawai’i is always changing for the rapid growth of new residents starting to live in Hawai’i and for the positive changes for all of it’s communities. With this one special place that comes to mind, and is truly dear to me. Is known as the All-America City that is Mililani.
A Lesson on Life Life: a present with an unknown expiration date given to people so that they can gain knowledge and experience. The true definition of life can not be determined by just one person; however, this definition is sufficient enough for the novel Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya. This novel is about a young boy named Antonio (a.k.a. Tony) and his life during the time when Ultima, a curandera, came to stay with his family. During this time, Antonio learns many things about life from the church and school; however, Tony is taught the most about life and its endeavors from the informal lessons of his friends and family.
The Dare Devil Made Me “You are what you eat, so don 't be fast, cheap, easy, or fake.” Caesar Barber had a heart attack, after he weighs 300 pounds and saying he will sue all the fast food places because of this happening. This happened in all the fast food places in New York City. He would eat 4-5 meals from the fast food place a week he should have just, he should know better. This is like eating millons deep fried food.
KISS This is an incredible rock band that was innovative and creative and had its own style. This American rock band came together in January of 1973 in New York City. They became well known for their flamboyant stage outfits and the black and white paint on their faces. Their performances were dynamic and included fire breathing, spitting blood, and smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits and even pyrotechnics. Altogether Kiss has earned 28 gold albums and sold over 40 million albums in the U.S.
The shakuhachi has a unique tone compared to a western flute; when it is played it has a beautiful ring to it as well as reminds me of the wind. Then the fact that it is made of bamboo which gives it a different sound whereas the western flute is made of metal. Even though they can sound different, they do sound similar in the pitches of high and low. When it comes to the shakuhachi sound, it has an extremely natural and beautiful sound that would go great with many genres. It has such a soothing sound that would add a sense of relaxation to any song that it would be in.
The day was wednesday, 26th, April and Went to go see the samurai: armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller collection. now this took my back in time to discover one of the largest collections in the world. This project once began in Dallas Texas by the exhibition organizers, Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum. The lighting of the room stood out to me greatly I really enjoyed how the darkness brought out the full suit of armor, helmets and masks, weapons, and battle gear! The art of the Samurai is astonishing, the history of craftsmanship and design is unparallel to any other soldier/warrior outfits i've seen.
Ukyo Ajibana was born in Kyoto to the parents of Aiji and Keirii. During his five to eleven years old, he had to move to the bigger city of Nagoya because of his parents work. He had went to the wizardry school in Asia. He hadn 't known what he would do in his life. He had stayed put in a while in Naoya.
When you hear the word evil your mind probably goes to the most vile scenarios that you can think of; such as, murder, rape, stealing, cheating, and lying. While all of these are pretty evil I think there is more underground evil out there. I believe evil is anything that is only beneficial to yourself. I feel like in this life if you are living without helping anyone what is the point of you living. You basically have an irrelevant purpose if you only live to help yourself.
This is a very simple ode the most horrid type of food out there. It is worse then smelling grass after it has rained, or a diaper of a child needing to be changed. One my earlier memories was at a pretty young age. Many people say it is hard to remember certain events in life; when you find something that brings you to cringe at a certain food then that memory is hard to forget. This certain memory is about my one of my grandmothers and how she would make eggs around Thanksgiving time.
The difference between the sophists and the philosophers was that sophists were teachers for hire in Athens and other Greek cities. Philosophers believed truth was the key to knowledge, and thought sophists were immoral because they were not arête. Because sophists were not citizens of Athens, they were able to travel around Greece and teach groups of individuals their craft. Sophists were competent communicators, so they decided to sell their talents to the middle and high-class part of Greek society. Sophists taught grammar, poetry, and rhetoric they were able to use practical vocabulary to portray persuasive speech.
I find myself to be a pretty laid-back person. I do not have problems with other people, and I always try to be nice to them. There are a few pet peeves I possess. They are nothing too major and I normally don’t have issues with them. Being matched with a roommate with similar qualities to me would be ideal.
