The reason I want to attend the United States Military Academy is simple: I believe the education, training and atmosphere will best prepare me to be an officer in the United States Army. The reason I want to be an active duty officer in the Army is more complex. First, since I was young, I wanted to be an officer in the military. My great grandfather was in World War One, my grandfather was in an Army infantryman in World War Two and my father proudly served in the Navy.
