It would be amazing to meet new students and encourage them to attend not on The University of Alabama, but also make the Culverhouse College of Commerce their academic home. It is so important to invest in the lives of others, and you never know what impact you can have on a life. By simply being an ambassador, I have the ability to greatly impact someone’s future career. I struggled with choosing a major, and I understand how difficult of a process it can be. I am sure that if I toured Culverhouse initially it would have been my first choice.

Is it worth coming back to those you love? Yes it is, and whom do you think of when you hear the word “hero”. When I hear the word hero I think of my papa. For instance, my papa and Odysseus have a lot of things in common. For example, being competitive, knowing it’s not all about strength, and realizing that even if you're enjoying your time away from your original life, it’s always important to come back.
I’m sure most of you know that teaching is under the career for education and training. Most of the things I will say for this part of my speech you guys might already know about teachers. A teacher is the person who educates you in a place we all know called school. They’re here to prepare you for the real world. Teachers have to provide an education for you whether you like it or not.
The Cold War should be called a war because the literal definition of war is “a state of armed conflict between different nations or states or different groups within a nation or state”, and the cold war was tension between the democracies from the world of the western and the communist countries of Eastern Europe. Eastern Europe was being led by the Soviet Union against the west that was lead by the United States. Even though they technically didn’t declare war on each other, it was still a war. Many people had different opinions about the Cold War, an example of opinions was who started the Cold war? A group of people named the Revisionists, which consisted of William Appleman Williams and his followers, had blamed the United States of starting
Teaching New York magazine says that only 6% of people get the job they wanted as a child. I’ve wanted to be a teacher my whole life. I’ve always wanted to help people grow and develop. My teachers always used to tell me I’d be an amazing teacher. When we would do group projects at school, I loved it because I got to stand up and tell these people something they may or may not already know!
Knowledge is power and with power nothing is impossible, reaching for the stars and realizing your dreams is what it is all about. My goal in life is to become a teacher and help the future leaders of America cross their bridge to success. It sounds like a simple job but in reality it was one of the greatest things that I have done in order to obtain a sense of how teaching really is. Having the capability to help the underclassmen learn new things about the history of cultures, wars, and religions. There is vast value in teaching and it was an enjoyable experience, that I’m glad that I had. Being able to practice and improve at something that you want to do for the rest of your life is intriguing and the different learning styles of all the students is truly astonishing. Being a teacher will help me endure the opportunity to help and asses students, so that they are utterly prepared for college and their careers.
Teaching is an opportunity to see kid’s progress throughout a school year and help them succeed in the career path they chose for themselves. This is why I want to be a teacher. I want to help make all my students become successful and be there for them for support. I want to teach because I enjoy getting up everyday to see the children’s bright faces as they are just as excited to see me and discuss their weekend shenanigans. I am a big people person and always upbeat.
Why do people want to become teachers? There is low pay, long hours, little benefits, students have more rights than teachers. I want to be a teacher because I want to make a difference and change every child’s heart that I come into contact with. Teaching is one of those jobs where you get to be an undercover angel, because you are able to effect so many different lives by caring and teaching. You matter not only to one person in an office, but for 18-20 kids.
I believe that the mission of a student ambassador is to promote the vision, growth and quality of University of Maryland, by optimizing the experience of current students, prospective students and special guests. I would like to be a student ambassador primarily because I want to get more involved with the university; not to mention the positive impact it will have on my CV. I would also gain experience in public speaking, building friendships with fellow ambassadors and develop my leadership skills. Furthermore, this offers a responsibility that can be both challenging and extremely rewarding.
Growing up in a house with a mom who is an educator showed me the importance of education and spreading the love I have for teaching others and helping them grow as a learner. I grew up surrounded by classrooms from a young age. I would hang out in my mom’s room in the morning and after school while she worked. I loved going to school and never wanted to miss a day for any reason. I loved school because of the teachers and staff I had and I would love to be the reason kids love coming to school as well.
I am pursing a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I am passionate about education and excited to share the joy of learning with students. The perspective of wonder and sense of excitement that children bring into education motivates me daily. Teaching can leave a lasting impression in a child’s life and offers a special opportunity to shape the bright young minds of future generations. While many professions can be impactful, I believe the qualities of the person in the career position to be the most influential.
By providing a firm education, I can pave the road toward a bright future. Finally in conclusion, I know that I chose the field of education because, I know that as a teacher I must motivate, inspire, and encourage my students to strive for success. As an educator it is my responsibility to lift them up when they are down. I believe the purpose of education is to help students prepare for the real world by helping them become independent. The only role that my students have is to come to school prepared and ready to
