Why A Physician Assistant If you would have asked me at the beginning of the year I would have told you I am intending to be a physical therapist. I had been since I was in the eighth grade, and there was nothing that could change my mind. Then I went to college and not even a full two months in and I decide to change my whole plan, you know the one that I’ve had since eighth grade. Don’t worry I didn’t just flippantly decide to change my career I reached out to many people for counsel and realized that being a Physician’s Assistant suited me better. I really like the fast paced job atmosphere of a PA, and I would be able to branch out and be a part of more. I won’t be dealing with just Post-Op patients or patients with disabilities, I will have the opportunity to work in anything ranging from emergency rooms to delivering babies; which was just a much better fit for me since I tend to get a little crazy when I do the same thing for too long. In the short I would still enjoy PT, but PA fit to my personality the best.
