Why I Want To Be A Women In The Military Essay

I have always been a fan powerful women who don’t follow societies status quo and are advocates that women can do what men do. Those women for me were those who are in the U.S Armed forces, so I was very excited to have an excuse to do more research on my heroes, or sheroes. Since the presentation was first discussed in class, I knew I was set on a topic. Things didn’t go quite as planned, however, because of the discussions we had in class and In the end, I changed my topic to something I thought would be more interesting and relatable: Women in the military. The process of creating my presentation was stressful, fun, and a learning experience. There were definitely some points where I got stressed just thinking about it, but then I remembered all of the cool things I was going to do!

Military. Conveniently, all four people I interviewed are from different branches of the Military and had different jobs. This variation, I think, is beneficial to getting a three-sixty point of view on all of the different possibilities. In my presentation, I wanted to show a wider range than what we learn from movies about war heroes. I wanted to help my classmates understand that those are not the only jobs in the military, and that there are many options. Briefly at the end of my presentation, I wanted to touch on the likelihood of women having to register for the draft and their chances of becoming one of the women I cover in my presentation. To better give an understanding of women’s history in the military, I decided to start my presentation with some information about some of the milestones that have been achieved in recent years to hopefully inspire an appreciation for the groundbreaking women
