Why I want to become mayor.
It is with great pleasure that I have the chance to stand here in front of you this afternoon. First, and most important, I would like to thank you all for coming to this great day for the city of São Paulo. If it was not for all your support towards my mayoral campaign and me personally, I would not be able to be here among you. I am Felipe Ferla and I'm going to save our city. This, as I have mentioned, is a decisive day for the future of São Paulo. The way I see it. This city has potential for great things and its people for even grater things.
I see a city that has capacity and vocation to grow in all aspects, be it economic, social, and even technological.

I don´t want to hear people saying that the South part is worse than the north or that the east is worse than the west. I want to hear that all parts of São Paulo are amazing, and that no matter in what part of São Paulo you live, for you, it will always be the best.

However, for our city to be the best, we have one last thing to improve: our safety. As most of you probably know, São Paulo is ranked as one of the most dangerous cities in Brazil. Every day, an uncountable number of people get mugged, murdered and even abused because of the lack of security on our city. I don't want to see people afraid of walking on the streets, of leaving the bank or even leaving the car door unlocked, what I want to see instead, is our entire city secure and fearless. Being so, the first step towards achieving this goal is highly improving our police officers equipment, and training. My second step will be encouraging more people to join the police force by increasing the benefits of becoming a police officer and the
