Annotation is an important method for communicating. Different practices of annotation range from informal, personal to the formal, public. In this article, authors have concentrated on formal annotation, as formal structure of annotation is an important factor for scholarly communication. Moreover, annotation optimized for scholarly use should have predefined structures. In this article, authors have discussed the ongoing activity to create multiple "Electronic Variorum Editions"(EVE) of Don Quixote de la Mancha by Cervantes.
