Introduction: Hosea Williams said, “If we gotta fight and die for America, why should we be treated like slaves in America?” Williams said this because he believed that everything no matter what should be fair. Hosea Williams is the most important person in the Civil Rights Movement because he did anything and everything to make the world fair. He fed the hungry, he put on marches and protests, he confronted the KKK (Ku Klux Klan) and led a march of 20,000 people to protest racism in segregated Forsyth County, Georgia. Beginning with, People would claim that Williams is aggressive and rude. For example, Nps.gov says,”Hosea Williams aggressively, but non-violently protested racial discrimination in some of the most dangerous confrontations of the Civil Rights Movement. “ Next, people say that the marches don’t do anything and it always gets worse. However, before everything gets better it gets worse but Hosea kept going because he knew if you want change you have to get it yourself. Consequently, Hosea only wanted the best for everyone and for everyone to be fair. For that reason, Nps.gov says,”In 1987, Williams confronted the Ku Klux Klan as he led a march of 20,000 people to protest racism in segregated Forsyth County, Georgia. Williams won praise over the years for his Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless organization, established in 1971.” This proves that Hosea fought and fought for everything to be fair not just for him but for everyone. Thus, others might say Hosea Williams wasn’t important during the Civil Rights Movement but Hosea Williams led people to see everything in a new light and showed everyone that being fair is what we needed in this world. Conclusion: Nevertheless, Hosea Williams led people to do what’s right by standing up and changing the world.
