Nearly seven out of ten people, 68%, say the patients that have a terminal illness should have the right to use euthanasia (Dugan). Euthanasia comes from the Greek words “Eu”, which means good, and “Thanatosis”, which means death, which means “Good Death”("A General History of Euthanasia." ). Some people think that using euthanasia is not moral. While others believe that is a humane way to end suffering. In fact, making someone to suffer needlessly is wrong, and patients should have the right to use euthanasia when they have a terminal illness.

Even though people might think that it is right, some might think it is inhumane. In the article, "Euthanasia: Right to Life vs Right to Die.”says, “Euthanasia opposers argue that if we embrace ‘the right to death with dignity’, people with incurable and debilitating illnesses will be disposed from our civilised society. The practice of palliative care counters this view, as palliative care would provide relief from distressing symptoms and pain.” If they embrace the right to death for people with terminal illness to die on their own terms, the humanity will be gone from society. That since palliative care, already exists, that should provide relief of the pain and suffering.
