Liberty is essential to have for a citizen living in a democracy. Benjamin Franklin, a forefather, and a American icon quotation, " They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety ". All citizen should have Liberty in their lives. Freedom of speech and Freedom of religion is the most important part of having freedom. The First Amendment in the Bill of Right the amendment stats "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances". In the United States some schools do not allow a person to practice their religion in school. Which is disobeying the First Amendment therefore also disobeying the Bill of Rights.
