The American Revolution was an important event that made our country, what it is today. People fought for independance just so that they can live their own rules, most of them didn’t make it but they still wanted our country to live in peace and live the way we wanted to so they risked their lives for us. The American Revolution was a political upheaval. The colonists the thirteen American colonies, which were Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts Bay, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island, rejected the laws of the British. They rebelled against them. This soon led to a war today known as The American Revolution. The war was fought between Great Britain and the American Colonists. Before the war, colonists were forced to work for the british and it made life harder for them. …show more content…

It was also known as The Seven Years’ War. It started with the expansion of French throughout Ohio which angered many of the British Soldiers. Britain won the war and took over Canada. Taxes were forced for American colonists. These taxes and included the Stamp Act and the Sugar Act .The events that started the Revolutionary War was the Boston Massacre and the Battle of Lexington and Concord. The Boston Massacre was the event that took place in Boston, Massachusetts on March 5, 1770. British Redcoat soldiers were shooting unarmed men in the streets of Boston while being attacked by a mob.
