Why Is Zeus Important In Greek Mythology

To start, in Greek mythology there are many gods and goddesses. Many are created or incorporated with the many myths of Greece. One of the famous myths was about Zeus. This myth told the biography of Zeus and how he became a god of the world. Zeus was born as a son to Cronus and Rhea during the prophesied period that one of their children will overthrow them. To stop this prophecy from coming true Cronus swallowed all their previous children. As Zeus was born Rhea decided that enough was enough so, she hid Zeus. After, Zeus grew up the prophecy became true. By this time a big war between Zeus and Cronus broke out in Olympia. Zeus overthrew his dad and had a competition to see who out of his brothers would take the throne.
