Why My First Semester Of World Geography

In the first semester in World Geography I have played many roles. I have been a student, a group leader and just an independent person. During each one of these roles I have played I have had challenging tasks that have helped me learn things that I would not have in any other class. I have learned skills to apply to all my other classes, as well as ones that are just helpful to apply to this class. As well as learning helpful learning habits, I have learned things about our world and our economy that I never would have considered looking into until this class. These economies don’t have a middle class to buy, produce and sell their products. They aren’t helping the lower class become the upper class and they are allowing the upper class to dominate all production. Every society needs a middle class in order to keep the “wheel” turning. One other problem that has caught my attention is, in South American economies, there has been a problem with producing food and growing there metropolis. This is because there is an abundance of nature surrounding these civilizations. They cannot grow outwards because there are mountains surrounding the towns by the ocean, and the father inward you go the more jungle there is. A problem that has been up for debate was the past election in which resulted in the nomination of Donald Trump for president. The first document we read was on the problems and benefits of the American society. I remember reading and hearing Mr. Brubaker talking about a line in the article that said, “Make America great again.” If you can recall this is the line of Mr. Trump.
