Why Should Children Who Commit Crimes Be Tried As Adults

Should children who commit crimes be tried as adults? I think that children who commit violent crimes should be tried as adults, and here's why. Firstly, ages shouldn't matter when it comes to committing a crime. What I mean by that is, ages shouldn’t partake in this situation. These people committed a crime, and its not fair that they get away with less of a punishment just because they are younger. What I feel about this situation is, if you commit the same crime, you should have to pay the same price. Everyone in this world is equal, no matter your age. We should all be treated as such, especially when it comes to breaking the law. Children shouldn’t be treated special over everyone else for doing something wrong. These days, all you hear kids saying is that they just want to be treated like adults. These kids themselves literally say that they think they are adults and that they wish to be treated as such, but as soon as it comes to being punished as an adult would be, it doesn’t apply. These kids are asking for proper consequences, and I think it's about time we show them what it's like to be treated as an adult would be. Second, they should have known better.
