Over and over again we have reiterated what’s great about religion and how it can help a world that is confused and a sometimes have a future that is uncertain. Everyone’s future really depends on the generation that came before and the one that comes after. Some generations time to change their views have come and gone. Now we must focus on the generations that still have hope to realize their potentials. Let’s explain why religion is so important in that aspect. Religion can be interpreted to fit anyone’s point of view. However, it never promotes hate. It promotes dedication, friendship and many other things that have a positive impact on the world. Yes it should be. Not only does it help young people understand each other but it helps understand the people before and after. It teaches us not only how we should behave but how we should treat each other. It not only teaches us about the past but our future. It enables us to have a conversation with pointing fingers or hurting someone. Many people may believe it’s not okay to have an open dialogue about religion but it is a necessity. It is necessary for us as a people to understand why we are the way we are. Why we think the way we think. By teaching religion in schools it let’s us ask the hard hitting questions about religion in a safe environment. Questions that we could not walk up to a stranger and ask. Questions that must be asked in order for us to find world peace. We avoid it because we don’t know how to go about it. But we shouldn’t let fear hold us back.
