Although many people claim that playing soccer is pointless because you just have to run with the ball and kick the ball into the goal, I think that it’s really fun, it has taught me lots of things, and I have had lots of memorable experiences. To me soccer is like a bone to a dog. There is not one day that I don’t kick a soccer ball because when I see a soccer ball lying around in my house I feel like if I have to play with it because If I don’t at the end of the day I will feel like if I didn’t do what I was supposed to do throughout that day. I like the feeling of all the cheers coming from the sideline whenever I score or whenever one of my teammates score. I still remember when I went to Long Beach to play at a tournament called mexgames. My teammates, coaches and I got to stay at a hotel for free because the organizer of the tournament payed for everything. Although we ate the same breakfast everyday the same lunch everyday and the same dinner every day the food wasn’t that bad and plus it was free so why not. I had a blast those three days because I got to spend a lot of time with my teammates and there we shared lots of funny and memorable moments that no one else knows about. During the tournament I got to meet the Mexico Women’s National soccer team head coach and some of his assistants. Yes the games were competitive because the teams were being watched by the head coach so that they could pick 5 to 6 girls to play professional soccer with the national team, but it was also unforgettable and the funnest experience I have ever experienced. Even though soccer comes with lots of memorable moments it also comes with several skills to learn and adapt to. One skill that I have adapted to from playing soccer is communication skills.
