Both Odysseus and I have shown pride. In The Odyssey, Odysseus and his men are going to fight in the Trojan War. Odysseus found a way to win the war. He and his men built a horse and Odysseus told his men to hide in the horse late at night. The next morning two of Odysseus’ men went to go talk to the Trojan’s leader.
Odysseus is more than likely the most renowned conqueror of all places during the time that he was alive. He was the mastermind behind the siege of troy and came up with the idea for building the Trojan horse all by himself. Many people probably believe that odysseus was more of a villain than a hero because he lead his men into dangerous situations in which some of them never returned home to Ithaca. In the passage on lines 130-210, Odysseus leads the men to an island with many sheep on it. Odysseus then decides that it would be a good idea for the crew and himself to stay on the island to see who the ruler of the island is or who the inhabitants of the island were.
The Odyssey is a book by Homer about a character Odysseus who was stuck at sea for many years trying to return home. Odysseus is a warrior who conquered Troy with a wooden trojan horse and prevailed from the wrath of the gods. Odysseus shows many character traits in this stunning story, but the ones that describe him the most are brave, clever and determined. He is brave enough to lead an army into war, clever enough to trick a cyclopes, and determined enough to keep trying to return home.

Odysseus was going back home after earning the victory for his country, which he was king of one of the kingdoms -Ithaca-. But Odysseus faced trials that constrained him ten years late to arrive home.
Many will claim that Odysseus is truly the hero of this story after all. He is the main center of focus throughout the entire poem, and he helped win the Trojan War with his wooden horse idea. He cleverly tricked the Cyclops, which got him and several other men out of the cyclops’ grasp. He also tried to warn his men of the dangers that would overcome if they killed the cattle on the island.
This all changes when he heads into battle against troy and their huge wall. In the beginning he does not seem to know what he is doing and the war goes on for years. It took him ten years to figure out that the trogons were followers and worshipers of the almighty God Poseidon, who is believed to be the god of the sea, and creator of horses. So at night Odysseus sneaks into toy by building a huge “Trojan Horse” out of his own ships hiding all of his men still alive in it. After they are in the palace they kill all of the men inside to win the war.

Moving on to the first piece of proof that the odyssey shows facts about the trojan war. The reason this is my essay is because in the book it gives a general place of where they are located. In fact, in 1870 a German archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann found a city in the book by Homer, it was found in modern-day Turkey. Anyway, this is also here because the people of Greek used a trick to capture the city of Troy .The reason this relates to my subject is because the trojan horse is because they technically tricked someone to win the war and in a way assassinated the target they were intended for.

Tracing back its history, Iliad is thought to be written back in 8th century B.C. and it is considered one of the earliest works in western literary tradition. It captures the scene of blood, abductions, murders, wrath of Achilles, revenge, anger and intervention of gods. The scene of warfare and blood are presented in the poem through oral tradition initially.
