Hand made and lots of effort, that was how cars were made back in the day, It all started with Henry Fords Quadricyle which was assembled in July of 1896, it was based on bulky men carrying heavy parts such as the engine, axel and other parts of the car, it was assembled in a small warehouse with all parts being brought in the warehouse in small quantities as their was not enough space to maintain them. These cars took very long to produce as they were hand made, which increased the value and price of the car so even though it was only a 20 horsepower engine only the very rich could afford it which shows you what a car meant back then. Within one year in 1914 Ford had made a huge number of 306 thousand cars which was more than all the cars made by all the car industries put together, which hit he industry with a shock as this company was making huge number of cars as they had the technology to make 8 cars in the time of 1 in any other manufacturing company.

In order for Henry Ford to meat his goal of making his cars sturdy and cheap he firstly cut all options and extra order and made the Model T without any options and in one color (Black) in order to cut costs and sell it for cheaper, it was sold for $850 which is around $22000 equivalent to today. If you look at the world today almost all cars are made on an assembly line but of curse with improved technology from 1914, looking at the cars of today they outclass any of the cars made by Henry ford back in the day. You have the best engines, turbo, cars with 600 horsepower and more, it is scary seeing how machinery has improved over the past century. The market has grew rapidly now offering all types of cars at different prices, cars that are capable of going from 0-100 km in less then 3 seconds, cars with ceramique break system that can stop a car going at high speed within seconds. The car industry of today runs on machines and relies on them majorly as it is the main source of manufacturing in the car
