Why should individuals be prosecuted for statements made on social media? What you need to know is what cyberbullying is. What can it do to others? How many people are affected by this? In this essay, I will be talking about how these things and why this supports why individuals should be prosecuted for statements made on social media.
Did you know that nearly 1 in 3 teens have admitted to being a victim of cyberbullying? That’s a large number of teens. But what really is cyber bullying? Well, The Megan Meier Cyberbullying Prevention Act defines it as “in order for a behavior to be defined as cyberbullying, it must be repeated, hostile and severe with the intent to embarrass, threaten or harass. Another thing that can happen to teens is that they can get physically hurt. Will people tolerate this? In the text it says” bypassing the Prevention Act, we're deterring people from engaging in cyberbullying by showing such behavior is a punishable crime that won't be tolerated.” This shows that there is a way the people won't tolerate this because this behavior is not
