Gambling: Testing the Odds of Legal and Illegal
Ever been to Las Vegas and soaked in all the neon lights of the bars and restaurants? Although this is an attraction, everybody knows what Vegas is known for: Casinos. Las Vegas is the Casino capital of the world. This city attracts many gamblers from all over the world to test their odds against the house. Although some may think gambling should be illegal, it is actually helping cities and communities. Gambling should not be prohibited by law. By defining how and why gambling should remain legal, by refuting counter arguments of why gambling is so “harmful”, and by presenting arguments and documented research showing the benefits of gambling, one will be persuaded that gambling is a fun activity if enjoyed responsibly.and economically benifits communities.

Cities with casinos draw in lots of money and tourists looking to gamble. “Jobs are being created at a higher rate in Las Vegas(The Other Side of the Coin).” Claims like these present how casinos create jobs and improve the economy. For example, “if you were to take all the movie theaters in America, the Foxwood’s Casino is already generating about 10 percent as much in revenue as is generated in all ticket sales to movie theaters in this country”(Eadington, William R.). This proves that if you take one of America's most popular activities, gambling and casinos still produce more money and tourists(Eadington, William R.). This means that taking this away and making it illegal, you are taking away from a huge amount of Americans who enjoy these
