Tell-Tale Heart is about a man who was crazy and he killed an old man because of his evil eye. Then he shows the police where he hid the old man’s body. I strongly believe that Tell-Tale Heart is not appropriate for middle schoolers because it tells you about killing people and hiding the evidence. Tell-Tale Heart shouldn’t be read in middle school because it teaches us how to murder people. On page 93 its talks about him replacing the floor boards so cleverly from the police but he then confesses that he killed the old man and put him under the floorboards.

Have you ever had a dream that you killed someone you "loved"? In "Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Alan Poe, the narrator had a very realistic dream. What happened in the story is that the narrator really loved this old man that" had never wronged him" but he had always thought his blue eyes were annoying which made him really mad. one day he was sleeping and he had a dream that felt so real, the dream was him killing the old man and it felt like real life. When he woke up he was confused because he found out the old man was actually out of the country.

The horror story Tell Tale-Heart is a dark and evil story. It’s about how a servant tries to kill an old man over his ‘’Evil Eye’’ so he calls it. Personally , I think that this a bad story for kids or students in my range group to read. I think it sends off the wrong message and some others may agree.

All to which are very effective towards the story. Time of day affects most of the story of Tell-Tale Heart, through the type of period of time the short story is based on. If it’s based on in the day people expect things that aren’t dark, but if it’s during the night you will be expecting something dark and ominous.

My mother used to read it to my oldest brother when he was young, and then to my middle brother and I before naptime. My brother and I drifted off to sleep with the tales of the Sand Witch, The Fountain of Riches, The Snooping Bug and seven other fantastic stories. Among each adventure, a hidden moral lesson was to be learned. When my children were, young I read them these wonderful tales to them, and it was as if my mom were there to share them.
