I believe that nuclear power plants should not shut down. I believe this because of the information I’ve come across while researching. Although there are negatives about nuclear power there are also positives about it. Now being your advisor of course I’m going to speak from both sides. Your prearranged plans to shut down the nuclear power plants here may change. I’ll tell you why in this paper I’m writing to you.

The positive effects of nuclear power are endless in my opinion of course. One of the positives is that releases little to no emissions into the air when in use. The pollution factor is little to zero and it could eventually potentially produce more energy than coal if we can become reliant on it. That would be amazing because if we have an energy crisis we basically die. There is no real way to stop fossil fuel from running out I can’t see the future but is a fact. It would be run by the government but still, for the people being paid for by our tax money it would benefit the government and us as a whole it all comes full circle. It would become a large money saver for the United States it saves 12 billion USD as I already said. Which means that they could make more money off of it then they spend. It also can consistently create energy for 18 months without stopping which is a year and a half. What you may be thinking is they’re smart they can get a job anywhere. To that, I say we do not have 450 jobs to give out within a 20-mile radius or at least one that they won’t be overqualified for. I know this because a good friend of mine works for Microsoft and he tried to get a second job. They would not hire him because he was overqualified it is a serious problem. These people would not be able to get a job in today's society easily putting another 450 people out of a job isn’t helping us our
