Wildlife Biology Personal Statement

Entering into a course pertaining to wildlife biology stems from my long term interest in all different types of animals and preserving them for future generations. I want to make an impact on the world through wildlife conservation; a fire has been ignited in me ever since our president, Donald Trump, and Congress have rescinded multiple regulations such as the limited hunting of bears and wolves on wildlife refuges. Recently, the size of national monuments have been shrunk and the danger of climate change is consistently being ignored. By enrolling in this course and eventually graduating, my aspirations to contribute to the earth and its animal inhabitants will finally become possible from when I was in grade school. For example, classes regarding large mammals, animal behavior, and conservation only fuel the passion and eagerness dwelling inside me, but the classes you offer are not an option in the U.S. The exposure to the working world during a placement year as well as the ability to research various animals and their behaviors while abroad is a crucial factor in my decision to study outside of my home country. Another reason is in regards to securing a job as a wildlife biologist or zoologist, and I believe graduating from this course will help me achieve this career goal of mine due to the quality of education and intense field work I can partake
