Bump, set, spike! In the article History of Volleyball, “No Author”, began with one man, that one man’s name is William G. Morgan.in Holyoke, Mass. William wanted a sport that could be played by everybody no matter their age. Something that would provide exercise, but nothing too aggressive. The first name he came up with for this game was “Mintonette”, until they came up with volleyball as the new name. Canada was the first distant country that played it.
