Winston Churchill was the Prime Minister of England on May 10, 1940 the same day that the Nazis began invading Belgium, Holland and the Netherlands. Just three days after being elected into office he delivered one of his most famous speeches “Blood, Toil, Tears and Sweat” to the House of Commons. This speech was a basically a war strategy proposal. Winston’s early childhood was what we would call an odd one. He was not a very studious kid and eventually was sent to a military school in hopes to shape him up. Within a week he was in the rifle corps.
