Wittenberg University Mission Statement

There are many integral aspects that I am looking for in my future college, but the three most important ones are: excellent academics, a stellar golf team, and a well-respected business program. Wittenberg excels in all three of these categories. I am interested in attending Wittenberg's renowned campus, because it is a place I feel that I belong. The depth and variety of the programs at Wittenberg will not only allow me to pursue the courses that will further my career as a professional and as a golfer, but will also give me the space to explore avenues outside of my comfort realm. Of the nine attributes illustrated in the Wittenberg University Mission Statement, the three I feel I embody the most are: high academic achievement, physical well-being, and intellectual inquiry.

I was actively involved in 3 sports in high school: swimming, water polo, and golf. I participated in these sports throughout my high school years, and I have kept myself active, and in shape. With practice every day after school I would get my homework done before practice, so I didn't have to worry about it later in the day. Everyday I had practices in the morning before school and after school in the evening, so optimizing my time was required throughout my day. The sports I played meant a lot to me along with academics. Being a varsity athlete on swimming, water polo, and golf puts a lot of stress on the body, but I was excellent at making sure I was eating nutritious food so I could function well throughout the day. My achievements in water polo and golf reached state level, as I have qualified for states in golf the past 3 years, and just recently won a state championship in water polo in my senior
