To be chosen as a National Honors Society candidate is a true honor. To be recognized by teachers for my hard work proves how my tireless effort has fulfilled its purpose. Becoming a member of this organization would provide me with so many new opportunities to aid many people and grow as an individual. In my time as a student I have had many achievements that make me qualified to represent the National Honors Society. In the classroom I have pushed myself extremely hard to achieve what I viewed as acceptable marks for myself. I have worked so very hard in my academic career to be where I am currently. Many late nights up putting the finishing touches on papers, projects, and other work. I have always been determined to meet the standards I have set for myself and work until they are met. My hard work is reflected in my gpa and my continued academic performances. I have pride in my work and perform to the best of my ability. Specifically soccer and track and field. In both sports I work incredibly hard to be my best and lead by example. I might not be the most talented in the respected sport but I hope to demonstrate commitment and leadership through determination and an encouraging attitude to motivate my team. I have helped in leading to league and division championships on the soccer and in track I have led my relay team to winning multiple league championships. On both team I have been told by my peers on the team that my hard work makes them want to work hard and on my travel soccer team I was a captain and led the team for the season. I eagerly took on the position wanting to support my teammates and help lead our team to a division championship during two different
