Wonderful Wrestling A Satirical Perspective on Sports Throughout my life I have been blessed to compete in the oldest sport in the world, wrestling. I’ve been able to compete in all three styles of wrestling and seen success in folkstyle, freestyle, and GrecoRoman. During my junior year of highschool I was in the wrestling team. I joined my sophomore year to be with my friends. During that season I wanted to quit because the sport was stuff. Being a part of the Wrestling team these past 4 years has taught me more discipline imaginable. The discipline that wrestling taught me is when a coach or an elder asks you to do something, you do it. Cutting weight will teach one discipline real quick. Throughout my wrestling career I had to cut weight every year, which is by no means an easy thing to do. The discipline it takes is outstanding to me that I am actually able to do it.

The Last of The Mohicans is an intriguing novel that took me by surprise. Initially, when I set upon reading the story written by James Fenimore Cooper, I expected a very different experience from what I was left with afterward. I expected to be reading the love story that I had watched in the 1992 film based on the book. However, I was presented with a story much more intriguing and brutal than what I expected, and much different from the movie. The story in the book provided me with a gritty and bloody war story that changed my thoughts and ideas of the French and Indian War and early colonial warfare as a whole.
