Substance abuse can simply be defined as a sample of harmful use of any substance for mood-shifting purposes. It is said that use of against the law drugs is by definition abuse. The exact reason of substance abuse is not possible to know because there is not just one direct reason. However substance abuse and addiction is known to sprint in families. People abuse substances such as drugs, alcohol, and tobacco for wide-ranging and complex reasons, but it is clear that our society pays a important cost. The toll for this abuse can be seen in our hospitals and emergency departments through direct smash up to health by substance abuse and its link to physical suffering. Substance abuse involves using a substance in spite of constant social, interpersonal, or other harms caused by use of the substance. Substance dependence is a more severe disorder, which entails signs of physical or psycho logic broadmindedness .
