OCD or, obsessive-compulsive disorder, is very hard to live with, especially for a child. Millions of children are affected by OCD. 1 out of every 100 children have OCD. It distracts children from their learning and, as a result, forces them to work harder. Usually a kid with OCD will spend longer than usual on their homework/studying because of OCD distractions.
To begin with, OCD is very common as well as long lasting. People with OCD have unreasonable obsessions that lead to uncontrollable behaviors. A person with OCD feels the urge to repeat things over and over because of too much thought. OCD also tends to make people distracted from what they are doing. For example, a kid with OCD would not be able to focus on what the teacher is saying because he has the urge to keep twirling his pen. There are four main categories in OCD: Checking, contamination/mental contamination, hoarding, ruminations, and intrusive thoughts. These are the common ones; they are categorized based on the fears associated with them. For example, checking is the fear of damage.

Behavioral symptoms are when a person does a different action or emotion than normal.
