Writing Course Reflection

Before taking this course writing was something I would dismiss. I always left like my writing was slow and hard to understand even if I could understand it, thus making me feel unsure and uncomfortable about sharing my work. After taking this class I felt like my writing has become clearer and I have started to feel more comfortable sharing my work form the repeated peer revision. Hemingway once said that writing was flowing and easy, “All you have to do is sit at a typewriter and bleed.” I would agree with him because when he said it he said it sarcastically. It was easier for me to write about my own personal experiences about change in nature, but when it came to research it was harder because there was already this I knew and wanted to say but I had to find a specific source to back it up.
In my writing I would always have a sentence that did not make any sense because of the placement of words, putting words that don’t belong and missing pronunciation marks. Over time each of these elements has been improving, for example, I would have a lot of run-on sentences in my writing during middle school, but now I barely have any. During this class, I was able to focus more on sentence fragments and comma splices which have been one of my weaker areas during high school.
College will come around very soon for me even if I am not ready it will come. It will be filled with assignment especially writing ones and if I am not prepared for it it will be miserable.Having the opportunity to get a head start and have a taste of what college will be like, which helps me to start preparing myself with knowledge. Leaving high school with confident writing skills will relieve some pressure and stress that will come at you all at
