Nietzsche’s Genealogy of Morality, indubitably depicts and critiques the origins of morality and how the definition of morality itself is indefinite and evolves over time. However, in depicting such, elevates the controversy of several other concepts. The first controversy is the idea of what is good and evil, which initiates the idea of two subcategories of morality. Next, is the concept of guilt and punishment which correlates with the idea of a bad conscience. Lastly, Nietzsche challenges the concept of asceticism.
I came into my first college writing class feeling prepared thanks to you and your investment in me as a student in your AP Lang class. I developed as a writer more than I ever had in your class, and it definitely helped me in my college writing class this semester. I already knew how important it was to revise and continuously critically think about my writing, as well as the importance of multiple drafts and peer review. My English 110 class this semester was very similar to yours because we also did multiple drafts where I could revise my paper as many times as needed. The big difference was that the focus was on different genres and how to appeal to those, which was something new compared to my high school English courses.
Introduction During this course I’ve learned to make my writing better than it was before. I’ve struggled with my writing since I was very little especially the spelling and grammar parts of it. This course has helped a lot with that, I learned how to use grammar and punctuation better. I liked how you corrected my stuff and I learned to have people double check my work for mistakes so that I can fix them before turning it in or making myself look like a fool.
A semester have passed in a blink of our eyes and we are heading toward the end. Therefore, it is time to reflect upon my writing skills. Earlier in the semester, I aimed for an A in this class and I also wish to become a more efficient writer. In order to do so, I planned to use a lot of the available resources such as the writing lab, Learning Curve, and
Looking back through my days of writing in high school there was a lot I did not understand about the writing process. My writing was much unstructured and overall very poor compared to what it is today after this class. I believe that I have always been a good writer I just have not had the tools and knowledge to create a well written and knowledgeable paper. This course has helped me to meet the learning outcomes of learning to conduct factual research, making original and unbiased papers, writing different genres of papers in a professional way, correctly implementing the academic writing process, learning proper grammar and mechanics, and implementing critical thinking skills into my drafts.
Writing The Writing 121 course presented a lot of challenges that I had to overcome in order to become better as a writer. One thing I found very challenging, was adjusting rhetorical situations to a given condition. When writing the Inquiry paper, I had trouble finding what subject geared toward other college students to write about, while trying to keep concepts like Kairos, Ethos, and Pathos in mind. Another challenge I had to face was organizing the word choice in my papers.

Coming in to this semester I felt ashamed of my writing, I was afraid to even turn it in and show my teacher, let alone other students. Now, after this class and the work I have put into improving my skills, I feel extremely confident in my writing and have found an interest that I never knew I had. I know don’t dread writing. Throughout the term there has been many writing assignments —big or small— that helped reflect my writing process or the process itself. In the beginning of the course I felt like I was an “ok” writer, but lacked some skills such as: organization, sentence variety, and vocabulary. Also, I did not like to write and had a feeling of dislike when forced to write. I felt like I improved on everything I wanted and was seen throughout the semester. I know how to organize my ideas, the worksheets given in class to work on sentence variety really helped, and vocabulary was built on some level.
Throughout this semester, I can honestly say that my writing has improved in both style and technique. These eighteen short weeks (give or take) have shown me both positive and negative aspects of my writing capabilities. My confidence has grown and I have learned many new things. I have been given the opportunity to pick topics that I feel I could write well about and this has made essays more fun and enjoyable. MY instructor and peers have both given me accurate critiques that have only bettered my work.
During the course of this semester, I feel that I have grown substantially as a writer. I think that I could improve even more with practice as well as using a few resources. This class has helped me drastically by improving my writing structure but I think it could have been even better if I had spent my time more efficiently. Overall this class has been very beneficial to me and I think it will really help me in the future. When I started this class I took a completely different approach to writing a paper.
Reflecting back to the beginning of the semester, I believe I have improved a lot in my awareness while writing. While editing my papers, I have found improvement in my bad habits and overall phrasing of sentences. I would usually have to go back and deconstruct some of my sentences, but now I have found myself doing less of that and focusing in on less of the basics and more of the transitional and organizational aspects. Before, I did not use a lot of transitions from paragraph to paragraph or even with sentences. Now, I have become a lot more aware to make my overall paper flow in an organized way.
Writing essays and other types of posts has always been difficult for me. But, throughout this composition class, I have learned many interesting and new things about the different types of writing styles. This class has helped me greatly improve my writing skills in a variety of ways. I have learned multiple things by taking this class, such as new ways to approach writing and that there is much that I still need to learn about composition.
My journey in this English 3001 course during the past ten weeks, and over the course of taking is English class I have grown and learned more that I thought it is necessary for me to know as a student. Writing project 3 has shown me the importance of writing something that is of interest for you, an issue that you are passionate about. I think that I have started to get somewhat better at the structuring of my writing and using outlines before I jump into a draft. I am no longer as scared and hesitant to write, as I was the first writing project. I think a good goal that I accomplished from this project was using diverse sources in my writing. I was able to utilize a magazine post, newspaper article and research journals to form my argument and provide support.
