Introduction: The field of computing is coupled by myriad changes that occur occasionally all in a bid to improve the overall performance and efficiency of the computer and the user experience. These changes have not only led to the evolution of computer graphics as field of study but also inventions such as the Xbox One, Playing Station 4 and printers among others. Indeed graphics have been a marketing point for companies that want to woo consumers into purchasing their products. This paper will attempt to look at the differences between the graphics in personal computers and the Xbox One. In order to do that, this paper will review the evolution of graphics, PC and the Xbox over the years, delve deeper into the principles of graphics and conclude by comparing graphical processing, quality and …show more content…

Moreover, straight lines are easy to manipulate by using coordinate and geometric transformations. The downside of the polygon modelling approach is that we must use many polygons so as to depict images that are well rounded and smooth. Bezier Curves the Bezier Curves are used to produce curves that appear smooth on the surface at all scales. () underscores the importance of curves in modeling of geometry. He notes, “Curves should possess a shape that is clear and in relation to the sequential path of control points.” The Beizier curves are mainly made up of two end points. The other points are used to determine the endpoint tangent vector. The algorithm that implements the Bezier curve is refered to as the De Casteljeau algorithm. The latter states that the control polygon joins the control points P0, P2, P3 and can be depicted as shown below. di Each of the lines is then divided in the ratio of t:1-t so as to give rise to an new point. Subsequently, each two consective points are joined with line segments. The line segments are further subdivided such that one point is
