1. How does this position fit into your career path, incorporating your prior experience and your goals for the future?

With nearly 7 years working in Enrollment/Admission in marketing and outreach, I have had the opportunity to work to improve our online application, their web site and develop an email marketing campaign for prospective, application completion and yield. Also worked with events coordinator to utilize the CRM improved registration/ check-ins.

In the three years in Enrollment management as a Business Analyst reviewing business process and making suggestions and working with version business unit in and out of Enrollment management to improve their process. Working with our Community Involvement Program at Pacific, I’ve been able to work with prospective students who are first-generation local Stockton, CA residents and educate them on the scholarship opportunity available at Pacific. Also developed an online application and communication plan with the programs director to make is a seamless as possible to collect applications, review and make determinations on recipients. In working in a city with a diverse culture, other have always complimented on me on being able to listen and understand their needs from the simple task of what I should put in this fields on an application to walking student through the confirmation/deposit process. In meeting prospective and admitted students, I’ve had the opportunity to share my own stories of being a first generation student and my path of from high school, work, community college at to a 4-year university. As the market is becoming flooded with undergraduates and the workforce is requiring more advanced degrees to advance in their career, universities are trying to keep pace with the need. At my current university, seven new graduate program have been added in the last two years. This has more than doubling the number of applications the university received before the new programs were in place.
To help make graduate program more accessible to in the current workforce, another trend in graduate admission is the formation of partnerships in helping adult learners in the workforce. These partnerships allow companies to enhance their existing workforce, employees gain personal development growth and the university gets a student body with a varying background filled with real-world
