In the article, “10 Words Every Girl Should Learn”, Soraya Chemaly talks about her opinion and observations of how men conversate with women. She speaks out about gender equality and how men “dominate” women. In my personal opinion, I agree and disagree with her on her argument. Some of the things she observed about men and wrote about in her article, I believe are incorrect because I have never experienced them. On the other hand, some of the points made at the end of the article I have noticed inside a classroom and agree with.
Chemaly made many points about men interrupting or ignoring women while they are speaking. Personally, I have never noticed men to constantly interrupt me or ignore me while I am talking more than I have interrupted

She states, “many men tend to assume they are great.” If a male is involved in athletics or completes a school assignment, I have noticed that they seem to be more cocky about their performance than females do. Men brag about the things they do more often than women. I have also noticed that men tend to over exaggerate their performance or product to make them sound “bigger.” Chemaly also states in the article that men are involved in more disruptive behavior that was taught during early childhood. I agree with this statement because inside of the school classroom when a teacher needs to stop teaching to get on to a student the student is typically male. Men think they have the “duty” to be a class clown which leads to disruptive behavior in a classroom. Lastly, she talked about how women are given the label that “women talk more.” I agree and disagree with this statement. I agree because like stated before, men are more likely to be disruptive in a classroom causing them to speak more and speak louder than the women. I disagree because in a two person conversation with a man and woman I believe the woman will start to talk about herself and continue to talk without
