On the 9th of October, Robert Sheldon was found lying on the tainted red grass of Oak Park. The park was described to be “about two blocks square, with a fountain in the middle and a small swimming pool for little kids.” Police investigators ran through a body analysis showing Sheldon was stabbed by a switchblade around two-thirty in the morning. Alton Coleman. Alton Coleman (November 6, 1955 – April 26, 2002) was an American serial killer who operated in the Midwest United States during the summer of 1984. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois and had a troubled childhood, marked by physical and sexual abuse. Coleman began his killing spree on May 29, 1984, when he murdered a nine-year-old girl in his hometown of Waukegan.

Later they went home to see who did it, luckily Ruth Rose recorded the whole thing, in the video Ruth rose recorded the whole opening of the panda exhibit and the panda looked like he was mad at the microphone.
IQ while a good evaluation of a persons ability to solve logic problems is not the epitome of intelligence. If you have IQ with out practical or social intelligence in a significant quantity it wont garner you much success in the world. It needs an addition of that practical or social intelligence in order for you to become exceptionally successful within the world. The examples put forth in the book are of Chris Langan who’s IQ was in the 190 to 200’s range, Terman’s Termites (a group of students with IQ’s of 140+ that Terman followed for his Genetic Studies of Genius.), and Robert Oppenheimer. We also have two differing tests one that touches on just IQ and the other that touches on practical intelligence.
Early Life: David Ray was raised by his grandfather but still visited and saw his father. David was physically abused by his father as a child. In school he was teased and bullied because he was socially awkward around others but mostly girls. Span of killings : 1950’s- March 22,1999 Incident: David Parker Ray also known as the “Toy-Box Killer” sexually tortured and presumably killed in victims in a $100,000 homemade torture chamber called his"toy-box" that he built out of a old mobile home and was equipped with to what he referred to as his "friends". Whips, chains, pulleys, straps, leg spreader bars, surgical blades, and saws.
In 1981, an Englishman named Howard Carter came to Egypt, convinced there was 1 undiscovered tomb, of king Tutankhamun’s. He did find the tomb, but later on, strange things happened. Some of the strange things were; an insect bite on Carter’s wealthy backer, Lord Carnarvon’s cheek, matching the wound on Tut’s cheek, and Carter’s secretary, Richard Bethell’s father killing himself by jumping off a building. These occurrences were unexplained at the time. There was thought to be a curse placed on the tomb.
Roy Gardner’s Life There are many well known mobsters from the past including, Al Capone, Machine Gun Kelly, and Roy Gardner. The last Great American Train Robber was the infamous, Roy Gardner. He robbed U.S mail trucks, trains, and escaped prison multiple times. Roy was on the “Most Wanted” list of mobsters in the year of 1921.
Thanksgiving a time where people sit around the table and be thankful for the things they have. However, many people know of how it became a holiday, but people don’t know is who started this holiday. The man who had started Thanksgiving was named William Bradford; It started from his marriage ceremony in the New World where the (Johnson) Wampanoags Native Americans (Whitehurst and Ruffin 18) brought over turkeys and deer to feast on (Johnson). William Bradford was the second governor of Plymouth for his wisdom and leadership; he ran for governor for thirty years with a five year break.
“Intelligence is like underwear. It is important that you have it, but not necessary that you show it off.” Everyone is born with the potential to be intelligent rather than being born with equal intelligence. Intelligence can be defined as ones capacity for knowledge or it can be more generally described as the ability to perceive information and retain it. Some believe that it has nothing to do with knowledge but imagination.
The definition of intelligence I got from the book was that intelligence is “The global capacity to act purposefully, to think rationally, and to deal effectively with the environment.” The information I got from the presentation describes intelligence as Two contrasting views. The first of wich is the view that intelligence is a changing cognitive process that helps us acquire knowledge and function. the second of wich is the view that intelligence is a fixed ability, which is in part due to genetics. As for my own views on what defines intelligence, I define intelligence as your fluctuating cognitive ability and capacity to learn or understand information
In today’s society people often correlate test scores and percentages to how intelligent a person is. Although, I believe intelligence is also a mix of experiences, I strive to control what people judge me on, which is calculated numbers.
Disadvantages/weaknesses of Howard Gardner’s theory: 1. Doesn’t explain why some individuals are more intelligent than others. 2. Controversy over whether the seven specific types of intelligences are actually intelligences or whether they are abilities (such as musical, body-kinesthetic, interpersonal and intrapersonal).
