" It's saying that there needs to be proof or eye-witness for the trial to happen and to see whether the person is innocent or not. Another law is that there can be no arrest of prisoner without fair trial ("English Translation of Magna Carta"). Meaning that a person shall not be executed or be in prison for being innocent without a fair trial, saying that they should have a trial by the jury. To remember what I had said, the Magna Carta states a very strong judicial system, the death penalty also has a threat of killing that maintains people murdering each other and some people have the right to execute murders. There are only about 35 executions per year and about 1 thousand people are saved every year (Donohue) . To be more specific, about every country, each execution prevents 18 murders (McArthur). Finally, a 2 year old toddler, was sitting in a shopping cart at Walmart (Morlin). His mother's purse was opened and nobody was looking, he reached for a gun which was inside the mother's purse and shot his own mom (Morlin). Her death was an accident and the little boy did not even know what had just happened.
