Our biggest event was when we hosted a carnival for our school’s Yo-Hi Day (end of the year field day event). We hosted a variety of different activities for students to do such as a joust-stick battle, a bouncy house obstacle course, a dunk tank, and more. The day of the event was the easiest to manage, but the process of making it happen was a challenge. I’ve realized that a lot of things goes on behind the scenes, and sometimes people are not aware of that because what they see are the results. A lot of things happened during the process like; making sure all the supplies came in on time, figuring out the quantity and the type of food we should get for the snack bar, who is available to supervise each activity, and what’s plan B if the snow
William Finnegan is excellent writer captures the flavor of growing up in the 60's and learning certain realities of how the world works. Barbarian Days is all about a surfing life. Skate-boarder, body-surfer, mat-rider, surfer, as one who did all of those activities many years ago in Central California and then swerved off the path due to crowds and other life responsibilities. Here William Finnegan expands on that piece and tell the story of his life-long passion for the sport.
Harvey Mackay once said “Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.” If you are given an opportunity or a second chance you should take it and not worry about what the future will hold even if it changes your life, you should let it happen as Wes Moore and Dimmesdale did.
LIfe’s gonna throw rocks at you, and plenty more; you have to show the world that you can take what you get thrown at

Day 1 After watching news on reports of extreme behavior, it is evident that news analysts and reporters overemphasize some facts or occurrences. For instance, the Orlando nightclub shooting was covered intensely whereby images of people scampering for safety were repeatedly aired. The media also used terrorism consultants and analysts who overemphasized the incidence. For instance, considering how the Orlando shooting was reported many people would believe that going to public spaces would expose one to a terrorist attack. Day 2
In the short story “Masque of the Red Death”, Edgar Allan Poe uses the ignorance of Prince Prospero's actions and characteristics to portray the main idea that humans cannot escape death. In the story there is an airborne disease going around called “The Red Death”, which consequently so many people have died from it. There are also rooms that signify the stages of life from birth to death and a big ebony clock which signifies how much time you have left before you die. When Prince Prospero (a fearless and wise prince) decides to throw a masquerade ball in a castellated abbey, he invites the healthiest people in the land and they “leave means neither of ingress nor egress” to try and shut out the “The Red Death” (Edgar Allan Poe). Therefore,
In Tuesday’s with Morrie, Morrie tells a lot of aphorisms that give messages according to life and can be applied to concepts of daily life. “Accept what you are able to do and not what you are not able to do” (p. 18) this is one of many Morrie’s aphorisms and anybody can apply this not just one person, but it takes determination and self-confidence to be successful in life and these aphorisms can help guide anybody through life, including my own. “Accept the past, without denying it or discarding it.” (p.18) Actions from the past could disrupt daily life even the future, but should not be bothered by it and grow from it and create a better future.

If it had not happen to me then it would happened to someone else, and I would rather no one else have to go through what I did. I had to keep going I had no other choice. We may not always be able to choose what happens to us but we can always choose where we can go from there and I choose not to wallow in the negativity. I choose to forge ahead, but there was a time in my life where I got stuck.
Everyone knows that life is not easy all of the time, and everyone will make mistakes. Making mistakes is an inevitable part of being human. However, it is what you choose to do afterwards that matters. Successful people choose to leave it in the past, and to learn from it in the future. It is hard to be successful if all of the focus is on failure.
