Islam is a religion of peace. It is a religion with one-fifth of the humanity that practices the virtue of submission to one God. The daily violence and bloodshed of civilians around the globe portrays an understanding of how terrible Islamic Extremist Groups have gone in the current years and how Islam is put forth as a disgrace. Thus, the last prophet of Islam, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), held characteristics where he successfully and calmly dealt with catastrophes that involved destruction or massacre. The characteristics varied from being obedient, setting forth what Islam is about, and clearing misunderstandings. The correspondence between the Prophet and Islam greatly proves that he is the ideal individual to handle Islamic Extremist Groups …show more content…

Thus, Muslims strive day and night to submit to God and follow the footsteps of the prophets. Islam is a religion that consists of 7 fundamentals in which individuals truly believe in, in order to be known as a Muslim. The seven fundamentals of Islam are; belief in God, belief in the angels, belief in the holy books, belief in the prophets of God, accepting the judgment of the last day, believing the fact that Muslims have free will of either obeying or disobeying Allah (SWT), and believing in the afterlife. In addition, Islam consists of 6 pillars of Islam, which need to be known in order to be clear on what Islam is about. Thus, the pillars of Islam are; Shahada (Accepting Islam and becoming a Muslim), Salah (Establishing roots of prayer), Zakat (paying those in need), Sawm (Ramadan/Fasting), and Hajj (Pilgrimage). Furthermore, it is important to realize that Islamic Extremist Groups have wrong understandings of what Islam is. If they do not have wrong understandings then it is relevant for not having any violence, however, that is not the case. There is violence, due to having some type of hate towards Islam. Not only the religion, however, the people part of it as well. Thus, the main root of this hate is them not clearly understanding what Islam is and what Islam portrays to the world. Therefore, the Prophet's main action to the Islamic Extremist Groups would be to let them comprehend the meaning of Islam instead of assuming and basing things off of
